These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of logosia.com.auand any associated services (collectively, "Logosia" or the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply regardless of where you are located. Additional jurisdiction- specific rights and provisions are set out below.
Logosia is an automated news aggregation service. It collects publicly available article headlines, snippets, and metadata from RSS feeds published by third-party news outlets across 89 countries, processes them algorithmically, and displays them on this website.
Logosia is not a news publisher. We do not create, write, edit, commission, or endorse any news content displayed. All article content remains the intellectual property of its original publisher. Logosia is a secondary distributor only.
Logosia is not a journalistic outlet, media organisation, or broadcaster and does not hold any broadcasting or media licence.
All news articles, headlines, and associated content displayed on Logosia are sourced from publicly available RSS feeds and remain the copyright of their respective owners. Logosia reproduces only brief excerpts (headlines and snippets typically fewer than 50 words) solely for the purpose of identification and linking, and provides a direct link to the original source for all content.
Logosia claims the benefit of the following defences and exceptions as applicable depending on jurisdiction:
Notwithstanding the above, Logosia respects copyright holders' rights. If you are a rights holder and believe content has been reproduced beyond permitted limits, see Section 3 (Copyright Complaints).
Logosia operates a notice-and-takedown procedure available to all copyright holders globally. Sending a valid notice obliges us to investigate and, where appropriate, remove or reduce the relevant content promptly — typically within 5 business days.
United States — DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512)
Logosia complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. To submit a DMCA takedown notice, send a written communication to mfala22ss@gmail.com containing:
Counter-notifications may be submitted in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Repeat infringers will have their ability to access Logosia terminated.
European Union — Press Publishers' Neighbouring Rights (Article 15, EU Copyright Directive 2019/790)
France, Germany, Spain, and other EU member states have implemented the press publishers' right, which may require licences for certain reproductions of press publications beyond individual words or very short extracts. Logosia operates on the basis that brief headlines and snippets reproduced from RSS feeds fall within permitted exceptions and existing licensing arrangements. EU press publishers who believe a licence is required for their content should contact us at mfala22ss@gmail.com and we will engage in good faith.
All Other Jurisdictions
Copyright holders in any jurisdiction may send a takedown request to mfala22ss@gmail.com. We will respond within 5 business days. Valid requests with proof of ownership will result in prompt removal.
Logosia is a secondary publisher of third-party content. Under Australian defamation law (uniform Defamation Act 2005), innocent dissemination is a complete defence where a secondary publisher had no knowledge that the matter was defamatory and that lack of knowledge was not due to negligence (s.32). Under the UK Defamation Act 2013 s.5, a website operator has a defence to defamation claims if they respond to a notice of complaint by removing the material.
Logosia actively maintains its status as an innocent secondary publisher by operating the following notice procedure:
Logosia has no editorial control over third-party source articles and does not adopt their content as its own. Article text displayed on Logosia is the expression of the original publisher, not of Logosia.
Logosia displays cross-source coverage indicators showing when a story appears across multiple independently scraped feeds. This is not editorial fact-checking, journalistic verification, or confirmation of factual accuracy.
It is an automated signal only: the same topic has appeared in more than one RSS feed processed by our scraper. It does not mean the facts are correct, uncontested, or that the sources are independent of a common wire origin. A false story can appear in many outlets simultaneously.
Do not treat any coverage indicator on Logosia as confirmation that a news story is true. Always consult the original source and exercise your own judgment.
Logosia assigns algorithmic bias ratings (on a scale from far-left to far-right), quality scores, and credibility scores to news sources and articles. These ratings are editorial and algorithmic opinions, not statements of fact.
Each rating reflects a methodology developed by Logosia based on publicly available source data and machine-learning signals. Ratings are inherently subjective. They do not constitute factual claims about any outlet's political affiliation, journalistic ethics, truthfulness, or legal standing. Logosia expressly invokes the honest opinion and fair comment defences available under applicable defamation laws.
Key limitations users must understand:
If you represent a news outlet and believe a rating is factually incorrect, contact mfala22ss@gmail.com with evidence. We will review within 10 business days and update where warranted.
Some non-English content is translated and some articles are summarised using AI language models (currently Meta Llama via Groq API). These outputs are automatically generated and may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, cultural mistranslations, or inaccuracies.
AI-generated translations and summaries are provided for convenience only. They are not certified translations. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, safety, or any other purpose requiring precision. Always consult the original source in its original language.
Logosia accepts no liability for losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content. Users who require accurate translation should engage a qualified human translator.
Logosia operates an algorithmic recommender system that ranks and filters news articles. In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) Article 27, and as a matter of transparency to all users, we disclose the main parameters of our ranking system:
No ranking is based on user behavioural profiling (we collect no user data). No paid placement or sponsored content exists. Rankings do not reflect editorial endorsement.
Users who wish to receive news content without algorithmic ranking may use the country-specific pages which present content from a single geography.
Logosia operates a notice mechanism for illegal content, including content that is (without limitation): child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, terrorist content, or content illegal under the laws of Australia, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
Under Australia's Online Safety Act 2021, the eSafety Commissioner may issue removal notices for certain harmful content. Logosia will comply with all lawful removal orders from competent authorities.
Under the EU Digital Services Act (Articles 14–17), Logosia provides a mechanism to report illegal content: email mfala22ss@gmail.com with the subject line "DSA Illegal Content Report", identifying the URL and the specific legal provision you believe the content violates. We will act on valid notices without undue delay.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Logosia does not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in each jurisdiction, all implied warranties, conditions, and terms (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement) are excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Logosia and its operators, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any:
Australian Consumer Law: Where the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) confers consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant service.
EU / UK consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or UK law, including the EU Unfair Contract Terms Directive (93/13/EEC) and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where those laws apply, any exclusion of liability that would be unfair under those laws is of no effect.
US consumers: Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by state law.
You must not use the Service to:
Logosia accesses news content exclusively through RSS and Atom feeds that publishers have made publicly available for syndication. Use of RSS feeds for aggregation is consistent with the technical purpose for which RSS was designed and with the reasonable expectations of publishers who publish such feeds.
Logosia makes good-faith efforts to comply with the terms of service of each RSS feed source. If you are a publisher whose feed terms of service prohibit commercial or automated aggregation, contact mfala22ss@gmail.com and we will remove your feed promptly.
Every article on Logosia links to the original publisher's website. Once you click through to a third-party site, you leave Logosia entirely. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, availability, accuracy, or legality of third-party sites. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.
The Logosia platform — including its design, user interface, scoring methodology, source selection, codebase, and branding — is the intellectual property of Logosia and is protected by copyright, trade dress, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to Logosia's intellectual property except the limited right to access the Service for personal, non-commercial use.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Australian users: Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. Nothing limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
EU / EEA consumers:Notwithstanding the choice of Australian law, EU consumers retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence and may bring claims in the courts of that country under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast) and Regulation (EC) 593/2008 (Rome I). EU consumers may also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
UK consumers: UK consumers retain the protection of mandatory provisions of English law and may bring claims in UK courts under applicable retained EU law and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
US users: Nothing in these Terms waives any rights you may have under applicable US federal or state law, including consumer protection statutes.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage all parties to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting mfala22ss@gmail.com.
Australia's News Media and Digital Platforms Mandatory Bargaining Code Act 2021 (the "Code") establishes a framework under which the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) may designate digital platform services that make news content available to negotiate with news businesses.
Logosia is currently a small, independent aggregator and has not been designated under the Code. If Logosia is designated in the future, it will engage in bargaining as required by law.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms (and our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference) constitute the entire agreement between you and Logosia regarding the Service and supersede all prior representations, warranties, or agreements relating to the Service.
No Waiver. Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Force Majeure. Logosia is not liable for failure to perform any obligation due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, third-party service failures, natural disasters, or government action.
We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes that affect your rights, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the Service.
